Leggett and Platt, based in Missouri, manufactures various industrial components, most notably parts for beds and other furniture.
Hilliard Lyons noted that their shift was not a specific commentary on quarterly results, but a projection that current valuations constitute a promising long-term buying opportunity.
The stock is up almost 1% on the rating change, with more positive momentum likely over the next 90 days: analyst actions on LEG have a strong 77.78 win% recorded in our system.
2. Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS): An Influential Downgrade by Telsey
Telsey Advisory Group, one of our tracked analyst groups, downgraded DKS from “Outperform” to “Neutral,” The stock has been down since the rating change. Its downward momentum is poised to continue, with a 75.42 win% on past ratings changes by Telsey.
Dick’s, which operates retail sporting goods stores, previously had a $52 price target from Telsey. It now holds a $40 price target.
Research suggests this downward momentum will persist for around 30 days: this still stands as a great short opportunity.
3. Avangrid Inc. (AGR): High Win% Upgrade from Evercore
The analysts at Evercore upgraded their rating on Avangrid from Market Perform to Outperform.
This shift is likely to signal persistent upward momentum for AGR, as Evercore has chalked up an impressive 72.85 win% in our system.
Avangrid, which owns various power utilities on the East Coast of the US, has recently taken steps toward establishing a stronger balance sheet, leading to this upgrade.
